Summary: Ideas taken from canon. I--like a few others I've encountered in fandom--have always assumed that Vader has something of a fear of fire, due to how he ended up in his suit. So, the hurt is obviously what happened to him on mustafar. The comfort--what odd comfort that I imagine Vader to ever get--is taken from the fact that, through the power of the dark side, he has learned to turn every weakness into a strength. So, although he does not look back fondly on what happened to him he knows it will serve him well is some ways. Title taken from the lyrics of Michael Jackson's famous song, "Beat It." Yeah, so that was awesome, and the achievements were totally unplanned. I was done to one last fill, looked back at the others I had done in that line, and was like, "Why not?" In other news... I may be doing a bad, bad, bad thing...

I have so many, many, many, MANY unfinished fics... but I think I might be committing to a Star Wars chapter fic. Nothing really solid, but I did chat with

twisted_slinky last night, and we were both talking about our nonverbal, totally verbal committment to fics we shouldn't be committing to. I really, really want to do a Post-Suit Vader/Padme fic... and she may have helped me figure out how to do this without using an idea from other fics that have done this. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. More on this later. I may do some art once I get the ball rolling...

I don't think I have any challenges due any time soon, and that may be part of my lazy fandom problem as of late. I should seek some out. Any suggestions?
