Story Summary: Moriarty's return has only granted Sherlock a temporary reprieve from punishment over his actions regarding Magnussen, and when a mission involving Sebastian Moran crosses Mycroft's desk it seems to be the perfect way for Sherlock to pay his penance. This particular mission requires Sherlock to have a paramour, however, but Mycroft has that taken care of in the form of Molly. What begins as a ruse to fool Moran slowly becomes something more real, though, and as this mission takes Sherlock and Molly across the globe chasing after a ghost he begins to realize that there is much more that he can lose this time if he makes another wrong decision.

Join me? Also... I'm thinking of starting a new comm. Tentatively, I think I'll call it "31 Days of Fandom." Inspired by

twistedshorts August Fic-a-Day, I thought, "Why just August?" So, each month of the year with 31 days will have a theme. These will vary. It will mostly allow several different forms of fanworks (fic, art, etc.) except for a few special months which may only ask for one kind. It will be open fandom, again, except for a few special months. And, for each 31 days, you must make one post a day with some sort of fanwork for that theme. If you do all 31 days, you'll get a banner at the end. If you do more, we'll do an honorable mention. If you don't finish... well, at least that's more wonderful works for your chosen fandoms out there. What does everyone think about this idea? I'm testing the waters.

Summary: Ideas taken from canon. I--like a few others I've encountered in fandom--have always assumed that Vader has something of a fear of fire, due to how he ended up in his suit. So, the hurt is obviously what happened to him on mustafar. The comfort--what odd comfort that I imagine Vader to ever get--is taken from the fact that, through the power of the dark side, he has learned to turn every weakness into a strength. So, although he does not look back fondly on what happened to him he knows it will serve him well is some ways. Title taken from the lyrics of Michael Jackson's famous song, "Beat It." I obvious don't own that either. Done for the
